Real Estate Legal Assistant

Minneapolis, MN · Full-time · $48,000 – $91,000 based on experience


Complex real estate transactions don't close themselves, and this Minneapolis law firm knows that better than most. Their Real Estate Department is looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join a collaborative, close-knit team of attorneys and paralegals who are equally down-to-earth and genuinely invested in one another's success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and revise organizational and transactional documents
  • Build and maintain closing checklists and coordinate deal closings end-to-end
  • Manage closing books and handle post-closing matters
  • Send, track, and organize signature pages and original documents
  • Calendar critical deal dates and milestones
  • Form entities and obtain certificates from the Secretary of State and IRS
  • Keep client electronic files current with up-to-date organizational documents
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between attorneys and clients, keeping communication and documents moving efficiently
  • Communicate regularly with the team on client matter status
  • Open new client files and process document comparisons
  • Monitor attorney inboxes and electronically file client matters
  • Process client invoices and attorney reimbursements


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a legal or administrative assistant in a corporate or real estate legal environment, or equivalent experience/education
  • Genuine interest in real estate and transactional law
  • Familiarity with iManage, InTapp, iTimekeep, or similar legal software; strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent grammar, proofreading skills, and sharp attention to detail
  • Strong initiative and creative problem-solving instincts
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Professional, team-centric, and takes pride in producing quality work


Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation is aligned with experience, with a salary range of $48,000 to $91,000 based on your background and fit for the role. Candidates ranging from early-career to seasoned legal assistant professionals are encouraged to apply.
